McDonald’s made me fat. Every morning, an Egg McMuffin, hash brown and an extra creamy latte is delivered to my house and crammed down my throat while I am being held down by clowns with big red shoes, yellow outfits and outrageous fros. No, this is not a nightmare.  Unfortunately, it’s a reality in the minds of those who cannot take responsibility for themselves. Blaming obesity on a company is almost as ludicrous as blaming drug abuse on the cartel. Sure, fast food and drugs are unhealthy but they also wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t a demand. Have I got your attention yet? Fat is not your fault. That is exactly the message that an “antiobesity activist” is trying to portray. I recently read her article in a not-so-surprisingly left wing magazine that happens to be incredibly popular. I bought it hoping to get some new fashion ideas as the cover had falsely printed, but instead got article after article of liberal bullcrap. Curious to see what a fashion magazine knows about politics, and p’d off because I paid $3.99 for the thing, I found an article that caught my attention regarding America’s bout with obesity. The “antiobesity activist” goes on to explain that the gym she used to attend (but rightfully was condemned from) provides high-calorie sundaes to members of the gym as a freebie. Apparently, this woman got the president of the gym on the phone and demanded that the ice cream be replaced with healthy snacks immediately. When the president refused (because he was pretty sure that he was still in charge of the gym), she took it upon her messiah-like self to throw away all of the toppings. That’s right folks, Miss Anti-obesity Activist is now your nanny in what you eat. And not surprisingly, she was escorted out of the gym by police. Maybe it’s not the smartest move by a gym to provide sweet treats to those trying to get a workout, but my guess is most of the patrons at the gym already take health very seriously and wouldn’t even think twice about accepting a Sundae. But if someone did, who the ‘f’ cares??? If someone needs permission from Miss Activist to have a Sundae, that someone should have a legal guardian driving them around, changing their diapers and wiping their a$$. Has America become so weak-minded that we really believe McDonald’s or any other establishment has power over our individual choices? Discuss.

Amen! While I personally agree that such things as fast food, smoking, etc. are bad for us, these are personal decisions. NOT for me or anyone else to make for us. All this talk about “sin” taxes, are just a cover up for what they really are….another source of revenue. The big clowns attack me once in a while too. They force a Double Quarter Pounder, large fry, and Coke down my throat. But I don’t blame them. After all, I was the one who decided to walk in their door.
