Obama Quotes
This blog is dedicated to preserving Barack Hussein Obama’s greatest quotes. May they be his biggest mistakes…
“I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”
So children are now a punishment from God? How dare he?!
“Community colleges play an important role in helping people transition between careers by providing the retooling they need to take on a new career.”
Retooling? To provide a workshop or factory with new tools? My apologies Obama, were you talking about human beings or Obamabots?
“Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.”
Yes, welfare is sooo much better!
“I don’t oppose all wars. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war.”
Would that include the War on Global Warming?
“I don’t take a dime of their [lobbyist] money, and when I am president, they won’t find a job in my White House.”
“Mr. Obama’s nominee for deputy secretary of defense, William Lynn, has been a lobbyist for the defense contractor Raytheon, and his nominee for deputy secretary of health and human services, William V. Corr, lobbied for stricter tobacco regulations as an official with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.” Schlesinger, Robert. U.S. News & World Report. January 22, 2009.
Mr. Obama, you were absolutely right that Lobbyists wouldn’t find a job in your White House; they found careers!
“I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”
Everybody, Mr. President? What about the people whose wealth you are spreading around?
“If you’re walking down the right path and you’re willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make progress.”
Not if you are on a treadmill there Barack.
“In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope?”
I would hope neither. I prefer a politics of common sense.
“Issues are never simple. One thing I’m proud of is that very rarely will you hear me simplify the issues.”
I’m not even going to touch this one.
“Poorly secured nuclear material in the former Soviet Union, or secrets from a scientist in Pakistan could help build a bomb that detonates in Paris. The poppies in Afghanistan become the heroin in Berlin. The poverty and violence in Somalia breeds the terror of tomorrow.”
I think I’m more concerned about the terrorists in America, sir. You are after all the President of the United States of AMERICA.
“The fact that my 15 minutes of fame has extended a little longer than 15 minutes is somewhat surprising to me and completely baffling to my wife.”
For once, I completely agree with you…
“There’s not a liberal America and a conservative America - there’s the United States of America.”
The revolution is coming…
“This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably. Trade has been a cornerstone of our growth and global development. But we will not be able to sustain this growth if it favors the few, and not the many.”
Um, open markets HAVE INDEED created the wealth. If you close them to Socialism, there will be no more wealth to spread around. Here, have some more Kool-Aid.
“This is the moment when we must come together to save this planet. Let us resolve that we will not leave our children a world where the oceans rise and famine spreads and terrible storms devastate our lands.”
You can prevent ocean tides, hurricanes, flooding, drought, disease, earthquakes, and volcanoes? All hail Obama!
“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times… and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK. That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen.”
Whatever happened to freedom of choice?
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
And so it is that a dictator must create two armies in his country: an army to fight the foreign enemy, and an army to fight the enemy within.
“We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools. We must make sure that people who have the grades, the desire and the will, but not the money, can still get the best education possible.”
We already do; their called scholarships.
“We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued and they must be defeated.”
Aaaah! Conservatives, Libertarians, Capitalists, Nationalists, Christians, Republicans, and rich and middle class people run for your lives!
“We need to internalize this idea of excellence. Not many folks spend a lot of time trying to be excellent.”
And under a Socialist government people would spend more time trying to be excellent?
“We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes and live in nice apartments but don’t want to work hard to accomplish these things. Everyone should try to realize their full potential.”
You are right Mr. President, we need to get strictly limit welfare and related policies.
“What Washington needs is adult supervision.”
It’s strange then that you’d be the youngest one on Capitol Hill.
“Why can’t I just eat my waffle?”
Probably because it cost the taxpayers $826 billion dollars.
“With the changing economy, no one has lifetime employment. But community colleges provide lifetime employability.”
Only after you get “retooled” of course.

Isn’t it ironic that most liberals are deeply sickened to hear about dog fighting and other cruelties to animals. But it’s OK to kill unborn human babies! I would not want this man teaching my children values and morals where apparently animals are worth more than children!

If Google is your only source of information then it is no wonder a Socialist Puppet was allowed to seize power in this country.

why are you so angry?
Being a Canadian I find it hard to understand the ideological gap that exists within the United States. It seems easier for those simple minded angry people (conservative or liberal) to spread hate and intolerance instead of compromise and understanding. Why not unite as citizens instead of liberals or conservatives to help fix the crisis your country is now facing. Fragmentation and division are not the solution to the problems you are now facing. I am all for criticism of government because they should be accountable to the people, but when criticism turns into unsubstantial claims and hate then the freedoms and liberties that you so readily flaunt are already lost.

no education…no comprehension skills…just emotion and disinformation….every republican criminal that I ask for a ’source’ and by that I mean a reliable source, can never answer the question. they just get loud and start attacking…thereby demonstrating their lack of intellect, education, civility, and critical thinking skills. In short they typicaly can’t spell, speak or comprehend their own native language so they are easy to manipulate…I applaud the republican psycho’s on duplicating Hitlers’ greatest skill..manipulating the uneducated, ignorant, masses.

Thank you for reading “brain dead neo-con.” I appreciate your passion. It appears that we share the same passion on opposite ends of the spectrum. In 2008, long before Obama won the primary, I continuously had people point out to me, “oh listen to HOW he speaks.” My reply to them was, “yeah, but listen to WHAT he is saying!” They did not listen then, but I think they might be listening now. This post was a way to express my frustration with the fact that no one was listening to WHAT he was saying. I apologize if it offended you. Then again, we have an amendment that covers free speech…for now.
