Obamanation-loathsome, evil, hateful, disagreeable, morally reprehensive, wasteful spending.
(Sick of Liberals)
It is absolutely amazing to me how many bills pass each month that are in the million and even billion dollar range without hardly a whisper to those who actually support these bills (that’s us). Am I on glue, or does some new bill, more expensive than the last, pass every month since Obama’s inauguration? And why do we not have a vote in these expenditures? In honor of Obama’s wasteful spending, watch as the “Obamanations” grow daily, weekly and monthly on Sick of Liberal’s very own Obamanation’s counter. Every time Obama’s Administration spends our hard earned money, the counter increases to display the actual number of American dollars being spent (or allocated towards spending) in an effort to keep track of our debt, our children’s debt, our children’s children’s debt and our children’s children’s pet’s debt. I will pay due diligence to list each bill that passes as accurately as possible with help from my readers. Please feel free to comment on this post to correct any misinformation or to add further Obamanations to our list. Your help is greatly appreciated. Hey, someone’s got to hold the government accountable…
Individual bills starting with the most recent (and counting)…
April 2009-Obama signed a bill of $250 million towards battling the H1N1 Virus or Swine Flu Virus. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control), prescribed treatments may not be effective against the virus because:
“Like all influenza viruses, swine flu viruses change constantly. When influenza viruses from different species infect pigs, the viruses can reassort (i.e. swap genes) and new viruses that are a mix of swine, human and/or avian influenza viruses can emerge.”
In other words, $250 million has been allocated towards medication that may or may not be effective according to the same government that plans to “battle” this virus. In addition, the White House issued a statement Tuesday, May 5 stating that it is no longer necessary to close schools because the virus is not as serious a threat as originally perceived. Okay, good news for us hypochondriacs, but can we have our money back?
April 2009- Obama signed a $5.7 billion national service bill Tuesday that triples the size of the AmeriCorps service program over the next eight years.
February 2009-American Recovery and Reinvestment Act; allocated $787.2 billion
January 2009-U.S. Central Federal Credit Union Capital Injection (whatever that is); allocated $1 billion, spent $1 billion
January 2009-Credit Union Deposit Insurance Guarantees; $80 billion allocated
January 2009-Bank of America loan-loss backstop; $118 billion allocated
January 2009-FDIC Bank Takeovers; $1.7 billion spent
